The Neoconservative Neo

Lets go back to the philosophy of Matrix . Morpheus ( the name taken from greek god of sleep and dreams ) offers Neo ( surprisingly - Abhinav stands for Neo in Hindi) the choice between red and blue pill .Here Neo is confronted by his inner self ,his soul . Had I been in Neo's place I would have chosen the Blue pill . It doesn't mean that I am not inquisitive .Moreover one of the characters is shown saying "Ignorance is Bliss " . Now you may be thinking that I wish to be ignorant . Sad ! you're still not correct.I do possess an inquistive and questioning brain but I don't think that we need to take the red pill to understand the hidden nuances of this universe .
Matrix shows us that the journey does not start with Neo choosing between the pills, or with ourselves deciding whether to question. The act of asking the question is itself the starting point . It doesn't really matter which pill you choose to commence this endeavour ,that you have to delve deep down under the truth of existence . I am not buying that .Yes , saints and preachers have kept telling us , but something's there which doesn't sound really right .
The movie symbolises the red pill as the real way to know truth . This can be simply countered by someone like me who would prefer to take the blue pill. He may wish to seek the truth in a different way, or in a less mind boggling array of events .Afterall we are here to live life to the fullest . I can't leave all the pleasures the life promises .The pleasure of being a good son , a good father, a good lover ,a good friend and above all a good human.I don't agree to someone who favours leaving all these to reach enlightenment and I would consider such a person more of a despicable and irresponsible being. It's like a tug of war . I am philosophically driven to seek the truth and the act of questioning is in itself seeking the truth.

However, the choice over the Red pill or Blue pill is not only a choice between whether to question or not, it is a personal choice on the method of questioning the mere existence of eternity.
Bye bye ....
